Call aheadThe yellow shop on New Road
You'll know us a mile off β the bright yellow front with the hand-painted red "Unglert's Bakery" sign, on the road out of Ennistymon.
A little piece of Bavaria in Co. Clare since 1983.
Unglert's was started by Stephan Unglert, who brought German baking traditions to the small town of Ennistymon and never left. For more than forty years the family has baked real bread, apple strudel and Bavarian cakes from the bright yellow shop on New Road.
It's grown into something rare: a proper bakery and a health-food shop, loved by neighbours and discovered every summer by visitors driving the Wild Atlantic Way to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. We still do it the slow, honest way β and we'd love to send you home with something warm.
